Hey, while searching cydia yesterday I found a new app called Mover Open on the BigBoss repo. Anyway its a pretty cool app in which one can put photos or contacts on a “virtual” table and with the flick of a finger, the item is sent to another device with the app on the same wifi or on BLUETOOTH (key point). Kinda what we’ve seen in the app store already, but its a nice alternative.
Download it here, if you dont have cydia use the itunes link: http://infinite-labs.net/mover/download
Well Guys, looks like the application Sn0wBreeze will be a fine alternative to jailbreaking the 3.1.2 firmware besides Blackra1n. If you hadn’t already heard the ih8sn0w dev team has been hard at work creating an alternative program for Windows. Basically the new program is a port of the Mac Jailbreaking application Pwnage Tool. The interface is basically the same, and does quite the same thing: creates custom firmware.
Here’s a look at a preview released to Dinozambas from the ih8s0w team:
well be waiting on this, hope it will be just as good, post what you think of it. (base of data from http://www.tysiphonehelp.com/forum/)
So most of you know that today zodttd released his N64iPhone, With that said I got a chance to test run it and here is what I have to say about it Just to give some peeps a heads up, Now first thing Lets remember this application is Very new and very Buggy so expect updates in the future. well I played a couple of games and here is what I got from the one’s that I played, D-pad hardly works, sound does not work,Rom’s play pretty good but can be very laggy with lots of stuff running in the background (so shut some stuff down) Now Finding Rom’s that actually work can be a chore also. But with all that said I think with future updates this can be a very good emulator Just like the Nes or SNES, I would also like to see them working on a version for iPhone 3G and iPod 2G’s But with Memory and speed issues I don’t think we will see that.
seems are buddy zodttd has been working on the N64 for the iPhone and iPod and if you know any of his work you should know this is gonna be another great gaming emulator for us to use. Read what he said about it below and check out the video.
Today I bring to you a work in progress video of my latest emulator port I titled n64iphone. n64iphone is a Nintendo 64 emulator currently designed for the iPhone 3gs and iPod Touch 3rd Gen. It is a port of mupen64plus along with Ari64’s ARM Dynarec, and Adventus / Orkin’s OpenGLES GPU. Since the graphics processing unit (GPU) code is written with the OpenGL ES 2.0 specification, it limits the devices able to be used to the iPhone 3gs and iPod Touch 3rd Gen as of the current Apple lineup.
As said this is a complete work in progress video. I will continue to show development as the port progresses. At the time of writing this I still need to implement:
- Controller plugin (WiiMote / hardware support will come first oddly enough)
- Sound plugin (Can affect performance once enabled)
- Screen scaling & rotation
- ROM selection screen & my usual emulator’s layout
- Improve compatibility a bit as I most likely made a bug or two in the dynarec port
Note that performance can be improved from what is currently shown here. I am using NO frameskip. I also am not using all the assembly for vector math within the GPU currently. Sound and controlling the emulator aren’t within this video as I still need to implement sound & controller plugins.
Current testings as far as I can tell show:
Mario Kart 64 runs real well.
Mario 64 runs real well.
Smash Bros has a graphical glitch where eyes are missing on characters. Perhaps this is due to a bug made in the dynarec porting I did.
Legend Of Zelda – Ocarina Of Time runs a bit too slowly but turning on frameskip should help fix that.
As we all know a few months ago apple sent in a request to get the unauthorized modification of their devices “Jailbreaking” to be illegal. The truth is apple had and still has no case. They are saying that Jailbreaking 1) makes the device preform slower and has more errors. That can happen if you use untested software. But, as we all know the main reason why Apple dislikes Jailbreaking is because of CRACKED APPS. Lets step back for a second. Only about 7% of iProduct users Jailbreak, and only 50% of them use cracked apps. So that means apple is only loosing 3.5% of their App Store profit. Also about 2 months ago Apple released how much they make from their App Store which turned out not to be such a big number. So apple is not loosing that much money from Jailbreaking. Actually Apple is making money from Jailbreaking. Think about how many people bought the iPhone or their iPod Touch just for the jailbreak use. So anyway a few days ago apple published an article on the support pages that actually addressed Jailbreaking. The Article pretty much said jailbreaking slows down and douse a lot of other bad things to your device. I wont lie a few of the things apple mentioned are true, but the majority are not. I still recommend Jailbreaking while you still can legaly. If apple douse pass this law it will affect more then just the iPhone community. It will affect every device community that deals with unauthorized modifications. Most likely apple will not be able to get this law passed. Here is the Article http://iurlz.net/Modify
this is my first post on this site. i have recently shut down my old site http://klxsitouchhelp.com and i will be doing all my posting on this site and the forum. Thank you
So has apple finally caught the crackers in the game of cat and mouse, Well it seems that way with the new 3.1 Update coming soon. Apple has added a new Feature that will tell apple servers if the app was Paid for or is cracked,And guess what if it is cracked it will not work. Well is this good new or bad news? Well depends who you ask,Ask the crackers and they will say it is bullshit cause they can’t get them cracked apps anymore,Ask the Devolpers of the same apps and they will tell you it is great news. And what do I think ? well here’s my theroy and you can say you heard this a million times and it’s all bullshit But I stick by it, When comes to Apps I think you should be able to test them out cause as we all know over half the apps on your iDevice you have used for about 3 hrs and never touched them again But if you gonna constiantly use the app then you really should buy it, But That is all in the person who downloads them. WARNING #1: Since the iPhone baseband will be updated to 05.11.04from the previous 4.26.08, this will mean that the ultrasn0w unlock method will be blocked. For those who want to have an unlocked iPhone on 3.1 DO NOT UPGRADE to 3.1 until ultrasn0w has been updated to work on 3.1 iPhones.
WARNING #2: Since AT&T updated the carrier profile version, 4.5 from 4.0. This is will terminate the popular IPCC tethering hack that has been going around on the internet because of the arbitrary-looking “signatures” that are now attached to MMS and VVM.

Well, if you have been checking the site often to get some updates, you might notice that we now have the ChipIn donate button on the right.
Now please keep in mind that NONE of the money that goes into this fund DOES NOT go in to Jim’s or my (TouchKrazy) pocket. The only reason for why we are doing this is so that we could get a sick new forum software like vBulletin or Invision Power Board.
Now, if you don’t want to donate, we want you to at least sign up for Swag Bucks and make just 5 Swagbucks. If you already have an account, MAKE ANOTHER ONE, with a different email . Then we can get these PayPal giftcards and purchase these upgrades.
